Lewis Hinton was born in The Wirral, subsequently living in Sunderland, Truro, Rye, London, and Luxembourg. Married, with four children and three grandchildren, he now resides in Grasse. Lewis began his varied career at art school, finishing as a banking software company CEO, and travelling extensively along the way. Previously writing mainly non-fiction, he now turns his hand to novels, film scripts, and poetry.
With a keen (albeit skeptical) interest in the supernatural, Lewis is a member of The Ghost Club, the world’s oldest society dedicated to the study of psychic research, giving him access to a wealth of material when researching stories such as the Sangster series. Lewis has also had a lifelong interest in geology, which comes out in some of his plots and locations (e.g., Angel's Blade), and is a member of the Geological Society of London. He has been a member of British Mensa for over forty years, and belongs to The Society of Authors, the UK trade union for all types of writers, illustrators and literary translators.
